Merit Badge University seeks faculty and staff expertise

WVU will host its 12th annual Merit Badge University Saturday, Feb. 24, in the Downtown - Mountainlair area of campus.

This one-day event provides scouts an opportunity to earn merit badges while working with faculty and staff. Merit badges are awards earned by members of the Boy Scouts of America as they learn about sports, crafts, science, trades and  more

This annual event attracts hundreds of boys and girls ages 11-17 from West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Washington, D.C. and Virginia, exposing them to various areas of interest and possible career paths.
